Here is a screen captures of wordpress.com walkthrough. I know this stuff is very basic to most, but hopefully it will help out some beginners.

Also, please not that this video features Wordpress.COM which is a self hosted solution. If you have wordpress installed on your own server it may be slightly different.
Also, if there are any major updates on wordpress this video might be outdated. This video is based on Wordpress Version 2.6
